Antique silver

I have inherited a couple of antique items I do not wish to keep and the rest of the family members don’t want them either.

I am looking for ideas how to best sell them to get a fair price. One is an antique custom made heavy sterling silver filigree cigarette case and one is a heavy sterling silver powder compact. Both are from around 1930. Are there any antique silver dealers or collectors in the Edmonton area?

I am not considering any pawnshops, and these are too beautiful to be melted just for the silver content.

  1. Try searching out antique dealers or post them on an antique site.

  2. Try Curiosity Inc. I had some items a few months ago that I took in and the fellow that owns it was most helpful and knowledgeable. You could spend hours poking around his store!
