Brantley Gilbert Concert

So on March 7th after weeks of patiently waiting and being super excited for it I went to the Brantley Gilbert concert. I had gotten the flu 3 days before and had barely any voice but managed to drag my sick self out of bed and drive an hour to the city to go to the concert.

The concert however was completely ruined for me. I’ve been a big fan of his for a long time and although I couldn’t sing I was trying to mouth the words the entire time. Not even five minutes into the show the seats around me started to fill up which was completely fine.

What wasn’t fine was the fact that every single person around me decided to talk above the music to each other. The guys behind me were constantly yelling at each other, the girl and guy beside me were constantly talking about themselves the entire time.

I paid $75 to get good seats only for the concert to be completely ruined by these people. I ended up having to leave early because I couldn’t stand the sexist remarks coming from the boys behind me any longer. So this is my point, when you go to a concert go for the music. Sing along all you want, dance if you feel comfortable, but don’t yell above the music the entire time. You ruin it for everyone else. Thanks!

Shout-outto Josh Phillips, Tim Hicks, and Brantley Gilbert for putting on a great show otherwise!

They pay so they can do what they want just as you can

  2. Hmm complaining about the people around you. Shame on you for going to the show with such a bad flu and spreading your germs. This flu is nothing to reckon with. I know someone that died having this flu and you have the nerve to complain about people talking. Wow. Hypocrit.

Sounds like you should write a country song about it

  4. The things people rant about these days

Brantley Gilbert SUCKED. we left after 4 songs lol.. his openers were good tho!

  6. I can’t believe you got out of bed with this horrible flu to go to a concert. How selfish! Be more worried about all the possible people you infected and not the people talking around you…..Who paid to be there, just like you.

  7. Common sense seems to be lacking. If you have the flu and concert tickets.. take a loss or sell the ticket. I would not want to sit by someone who is ill. Its not worth risking someone else’s health for a concert. The guy will be back again. I’ve missed quite a few shows due to illness and injury. Have some respect for those around you next time.

  8. you infected how many people???…its called Karma!

All these people flipping out about the flu! OMG people give it a rest. It is no wonder we have all these bugs constantly going around. And not because someone went to a concert with the flu.
The real reason is germaphobia that is all the thing now a days! Yes it is the real reason. Y’all freak the fuck our if someone 100kms away so much as sneezes in your direction, then ya grab the Lysol, anti germ hand cream, face mask and God only knows what else to STOP the germs. WELL guess what, the human body has a thing called an immune system, and unless it GETS to experience these bugs it has no idea how to fight them meaning ya get sick constantly because it is weakened by not being able to do its thing before the flu bug gets ya. Especially germaphobe parents who rap their little kids up in so much shit their immune system NEVER gets to develop like it is meant too!
As for the douche bags at the concert, y’all are ASSHOLES! Haven’t been to a concert in years for the same reason. No one, it seems, goes for the concert anymore, more so the booze and to cause shit during the show ruining the experience for those who DO go for the show.

Tell them to shut the fuck up next time… In a nice way of course lol

  11. …it’s a concert. People will always do things to get others upset.
Was at a rock show and the people behind us were getting mad that my husband and I were standing. Yup. It’s a concert. I’m going to stand with the rest of the arena. Don’t like it? Should have got front row seats.
Don’t like people were talking? Shouldn’t have gone with the flu.
They pay to go to a concert they can do whatever they want (obviously within reason) during their time there.

  12. Exactly I hate when people talk thru out a concert.. like go home if u wanna talk lol

  13. This reminds me of when my twin daughters won tickets to a Britney Spears concert, (they were 12 I think), and a lady behind behind them told them to be quiet. Lol. It’s a CONCERT, people are loud and I think the performers kind of like that!

What would you have preferred the guy and girl next you talk about? When my husband and I go out, kid-free, it’s sometimes our only chance to talk about ourselves, how we are doing, what is new, if anything needs to be discussed.

It would seem as though you RANT has backfired. General consensus you should have stayed home probably is everything around you annoying because you are sick. Have you been healthy probably would have all those things around annoying you.

    You should of yelled back

  17. Lol first world problems right there

  18. People are so inconsiderate! Same thing happened to us! Not impressed!

  19. I have to agree with the others here. I wonder how many people you’ve made sick. You definitely should not have gone. I don’t know how you did?! I had a bad flu at New Years and I was on “house arrest” for days. There was no way in hell I’d be going to a damn concert!!!

  20. Lmao!!!! Omg you would HATE gping to a concert with me and my friends hahahaha

Anyway, first I’m sure all those people appreciate you bringing the flu to such a densely populated area. So if you want to talk about inconsiderate people look in a mirror first.

Second, you’re at a concert the music is loud the crowd is loud. That’s the experience. It’s not the opera. To me it sounds like you’re better off listening at home.
