Am I doing the right thing?
I have a question for all the good moms and dads out there! Please identify as a mom or dad, just for better insight.
Okay, so I have to proceed against the ex, in criminal court for her numerous acts contrary to the criminal code of Canada; there are summary and indictable offenses. There is a very strong likelihood she will do time, quite possibly lengthy time.
So am I doing the right thing? I believe children develop better with two parents even if seperated. But the ex has done endless immoral and illegal things, she is not a good mom but rather a neglectful one, she is now exposing the children to abuse and continues to act like a raging alcoholic psycho with no regard for the children.
The only thing I know of certainly right now, is that I can not and never will speak with or look at her again; I will not apologize for this either as it is just the affects of victimization and re-victimization. Co-parenting obviously would require a mediator.
Okay GOOD moms and dads, help a needy parent out!
Sidenote: I was the victim of most of the criminal acts but there were acts and omissions which also victimized the children directly.
