Do employers in this province actually abide by the Duty to Accommodate on their own or only when you get a lawyer?

  1. Don’t forget the other part; its ‘Duty to accommodate – to the point of undue hardship’ which could be almost anything. That’s our wonderful disability employment law.

A lot depends upon the size of the company. Undue hardship in a small company comes a lot sooner than one which is large. And it depends upon the company whether you would need to threaten them with a lawyer or not. Sadly, not all employers are good employers.

    •Depends on the job task.
    •Depends on the disability/accommodation requirements.
    •Depends on the employer.

That’s literally the best answer you’ll probably get unless you provide more information.
