November Brings 9-Month Low for Gas Prices in Edmonton, Alberta

Gas prices in this city sure have fallen at a very quick pace over the past two weeks! Costco’s across the city are sitting at 76.9 cents per litre, while the lowest non-membership price sits at 78.4 at the Centex on 50th Street and 167th Avenue, and 78.9 at the Tempo on 8th street and 167th Avenue.

According to the chart found here (http://www.edmontongasprices.com/retail_price_chart.aspx), the price of petroleum has hit a 9-month low, and may even fall lower over the coming days. Mind you, the Christmas season is coming up, so expect a hike in pricing. Not only that, but Alberta’s NDP government is proposing a 4.7 cent price hike in gas as part of the climate change strategy just announced hours ago.

You can never really predict gas prices — so in the end, just enjoy it while it’s low, and for goodness sake, drive safe out there! 😉
