Finding a young writers group

My daughter aged 11 is a very bright child. She doesn’t fit in with kids her age and her hobbies don’t fit in with kids her age either. Needless to say, my daughter is lonely and suffers from low self esteem.

I was wondering if there’s a group of young writers (aged 10-13) that meet weekly, or if any parent can related to a gifted child like this and want to start a dialogue?

Thank you.

Not specifically writing but my daughter did junior achievement and loved it. There is also some leadership programs through the YMCA that would help with self esteem that she might benefit from. http://www.janorthalberta.org

Maybe email your community league to see if they have programs or information. You could also maybe call the parenting network and see if they have any information
