On the hunt for CO monitor

Hello everyone
In the wake of all these deaths surrounding Carbon Monoxide poisoning, when I move out I need to have one. I will be moving from Washington in 3 days to Edmonton north and hope I can get some answers.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a carbon monoxide detector, how easy they are to use, and how much they cost?

My grandparents also don’t have one, my landlord, and my in-laws who have little kids in and out of their home for daycare. Everyone should have one.

Any input please I welcome it. Safety first and in the words of Ellen, BE KIND TO EACHOTHER

Home depot, walmart, canadian tire, rona, home hoardware, lowes, the list goes on and on…. How easy are they to use? You plug them in… How expensive? Depends on your features you want, and how fancy of one you want

  3. CO monitors are actually quite cheap and sold in various stores (Walmart, Canadian tire, Home Depot….). Anywhere from like $20 and up! They are just as easy as a smoke detector. Put the batteries in and you are set!

  8. Hardware stores walmart costco. Pretty much anywhere you can get a smoke detector there will be co detectors as well. There is even smoke detectors that have co detectors in them (mine do but i still have one on each floor plugged into a wall for extra precaution)

  12. Hardware stores like home depot/ Canadian tire will carry them. Just make sure you get one for each floor. They don’t cost to much, price will depend on what one you pick. Some are carbon/smoke detectors.
