Irresponsible dog owners.

Just reading the comments about pets at Taste of Edmonton. I absolutely love all animals, especially dogs (we have 2), but I have to agree, dogs do not belong in areas with food service, unless they have responsible owners.

During a trip to Sylvan Lake, we stopped at The Big Moo. Always a must on every trip to Sylvan. We sat on an outside table on their patio to eat, then I noticed these people with their dogs sitting on the table, sharing ice cream with them.

I had no issue with them being on their patio but did they really have to put their dogs butts on the table that people have to eat on. Besides that, their little paws have been walking all over the sidewalks, etc.

I’m sure your dogs would have been just as happy sitting under the picnic table and didn’t need to be sitting on it. Please be considerate of other people and keep your dogs butts off public eating services. Lol!

    • Sharing food is one thing. Having their butt where you eat is a different thing. I personally don’t want anybodies butt where I eat, thank you very much.

    • Nice Wendy lets see you put an M&M on a strangers dogs butt and eat it!!

    • Dogs butts are probably cleaner than those tables lol

    • I don’t care how clean their butt is. It’s a butt. On a table. Do we really need to discuss cleanliness of butts on tables when discussing manners or can we just not see that a bare ass on a table (animal or otheriwse) is nasty?

    • I’m sorry but anything with poop coming out of it is not likely to be cleaner than the table. Really, would you want your own naked butt sitting on your own table? Yuckers.

I agree than dogs don’t belong in eating places but Honestly… my dogs are cleaner than some people. I get compliments all the time how clean they look. I’ve never gotten sick
By sharing my food with them either

  2. Remember the days when people didn’t go around taking photos of strangers to post on social media? Yeah, those were the days.

  3. Ugh there’s always someone like you to be a fun sucker. It’s a dog. And while I wouldn’t put my dog on the table, I’d totally let him sit on the chair of the bench. And there’s always someone there to bitch. And to be honest annoying crying whiny kids are ten times more annoying than any dog I’ve seen out at an event. It’s not like the dogs are in the kitchen. It’s outside for crying out loud. The birds land on the tables, poop and all and we aren’t shooting them out of the sky. If you are that concerned about germs, stay home. I was in Europe and dogs can come into most restaurants and all pubs and stores. And everyone is OK! They don’t die. North America is so weighed down by rules and regulations it’s ridiculous.

  4. Dogs are not supposed to be there for a reason. Keep your pets at home when going out to eat.

  5. There’s probably been worse things on a public picnic table (that you don’t physically eat off of) than a dog’s a butt.

  6. I’m sure there has been much worse on that table

If you go to California, you will see dogs in every restaurant

  8. Why would they even allow dogs ? Dogs do not belong in restaurants where people go to eat. I don’t care what you do in your own home but keep your frickin dogs out of public eateries.

  12. That dog is going to have classic “small dog syndrome” if it doesn’t already have it – this is a behavioral problem in small dogs that are not allowed to be dogs but are treated like babies.

Considering how many people don’t regularly deworm their dogs, that’s totally gross. Even service dogs don’t get to sit up on tables or chairs. It’s 4 on the floor.

  23. After reading news about sociopath killers, ISIS terrorists, teachers raping children, mothers throwing babies in the garbage…..for the last 2 years !!! I welcome seeing dogs anywhere!!! Bring some fucking sunshine to this sick vile world.
FO !!!! Shut up. Sit down and don’t ever complain about an innocent animal again.

They bring joy to most everyone. Except you sexless , single, angry fucks who couldn’t find happiness if it hit you straight on your cock! You know, the part that makes it feel sooooooo good??? SIT DOWN

  25. i have 2 dogs, i think allowing them on restaurants patios is great as long as they are well mannered and stay under or beside the your table out of the way of others, but i 100% agree that they should NOT be allowed on the table i don’t care how small they are.. its gross. . 5lb dog germs are not different the 90lb dog germs!!

  26. whether anyone agrees or not, there are health regulations regarding dogs. And this is against them. Send the pic to Alberta Health Services and the restaurant will be closed. The argument about whether they SHOULD be allowed or not is moot. this is against the law. (drop the mic) :p

  28. I think your fears of germs should be explored more at this event. What about the toilets and germs, or putting your hands on door knobs to get out of the bathroom, way worse than any dog butt. Or heaven forbid a portable toilet, that’s rife with germs. What about the spit on the floor you walk in wearing sandals and transfer all over. I’m worried about if you sit in the grass that’s peed on by drunk people and others, the grass also has people shooting up sitting on it leaving trails of Fentanyl, there could be any type of bodily fluids. How about the food you are eating, did those preparing it wash their hands after whipping their bottoms. What about the germs on the debit machine from dirty hands repeatedly touching it. The list goes on. Get over yourselves. These dogs are probably cleaner than you and everything you touch.

My dog eats goose shit and then grabs a dandelion head. 20 mins later he pukes it all back up. Sometimes he gets raging diarrhea at which time he enjoys licking the area clean. He then becomes a vacuum when rabbit shit is around. I try to stop him but he’s sneaky as frig. Most dogs behave in this way, so unless the humans in your household are into this freakiness, dogs are not cleaner than people.
