  4. Hey dude, keep your head up and thinking straight.
I’m in the exact same boat.
I’m almost two weeks sober despite my hobby of making alcohol!
Just keep your mind straight and focused on the positive inspirations in your life and how proud of you they will be.

Maybe it helps to find something you want to save for?

    A vacation
    Nicer clothes

  20. Way to go – one week is fantastic! Keep looking forward and know it gets better each day. Look for like minded people to make new friends with. As well, remember to love on yourself as you are doing amazing!

  21. I’ve been off the sauce for 5 months now. The first week is the hardest. After that it gets easier.

If you’re losing friends over making a lifestyle change that can only serve you better, they probably weren’t great friends anyway. My advice is to increase your associations and spend time with people that you can look up to and aspire to be like. Find a support system (some people suggest AA, but there’s lots of other ways to stay sober.)

It can only go up from here! Congrats on getting through the first week.
