Kitchen Appliance Reccomendation

Hi Y’all! I need help in buying new appliances for our new house but we don’t exactly have the big budget to do it… I’m just wondering if any of you have any recommendations as to where to get NEW kitchen appliances cheaper than the Brick, Lowes, Home Depot and the popular retail stores.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  1. Lowes. Also check the govt of ab website first. The NDP government is giving rebates if you buy high efficiency appliances

  2. I think Trail Appliance does price matching. Might be worth looking into. Doubt you’ll find anything *cheaper* than big box though.

  4. Check out Westlock Furniture store. We have bought many appliances from there over the course of 15 years.

Kastner Auctions is selling appliances from show homes tomorrow. Go online and check out what they have and you can preregister and bid online!

Brick clearance centre on 107 ave and 120 street has lots of scratch and dent

  9. Fort Road Appliances or Appliances Unlimited. Mostly scratch and dent, but cheap and in great working condition.

Home Depot will price match ANY Canadian price. I know you said no big box, but we scoured the internet for best price on the appliances we picked out on HD, they matched PLUS gave us a deal as we were buying 5 appliances, and delivered/installed for free. We had a great experience and saved a lot of money.

(FYI Lowes won’t price match. They weren’t interested and didn’t care if they lost a big sale because of it. Terrible customer service.)

I seriously doubt you’ll get a better deal than the stores you’ve mentioned, especially during a sale. These bigger stores have ran all the family run business out of town.

  13. Lowe’s on Manning Drive. Excellent service and they won’t push you to spend more or buy something you don’t want.

  16. Have you tried Appliances Unlimited? I don’t have the address on hand but they use appliances in show homes so these are usually high brand names…then they are sold at low cost. We got our dishwasher there $800 regular (Whirlpool) and we paid $150 that came with 2 year warranty plus delivery is $30 I believe.

  17. We found Costco was the cheapest after comparing same make/models with all other places. And delivery is included in their prices.

Avoid Samsung! All Samsung appliances suck. Break down immediately after the warranty runs out and they have 0 customer service!
I ended up talking to someone in the Philippines who couldnt understand me and sent me the wrong part. Took them 3 months to get that wrong part to me.
