Looking for work from home or flexible

This is not pity post. I am 44 years old. Male handicapped wheelchair or bed bound most of the time. I am a father of 2 small children.

I receive AISH but I need a bit more money to make ends meet. I have been trying to pick up small jobs whenever I can.

Lately not finding anything.

Does anyone know some jobs I can do from home? I am very technical but had no customers to my ads for computer repair or videographer services as I am not certified just good at it.

I thought about Uber but there is fees as I have bad days suddenly so I was told I should not try this because commitment is involved.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW

Even $100-200 a month would help.

My wife is at end of life care now. So that is not an answer. I prefer not to go into details but please do not call me a single dad or lazy. I am a good husband, father not looking for pity handouts but ideas of work.

I know at one time you could work for Pizza 73 from home to dispatch orders. Good luck to you

What about delivering for skip the dishes? I hear you can login and select the orders you desire. That way if you have a bad day and can’t leave then you don’t take shifts. Pizza 73 is a good option too. You need a compatible computer and can work flexible hours. You do work off commission for the most part but would easily get you $200 extra a month.

In a wheelchair, living on $1588 a month, paying rent, no one on Aish has a car! I used to make $80,000 a year…now I get called a parasite, at 55 when I first begged for Aish, pretty sure I paid my dues… No one sees our before. They also don’t want to trade places! Nonetheless, it is impossible to pay everything and have a car

Maja Black that’s probabaly true but they said they already looked at driving for uber. I assumed by that comment that there was a vehicle accessible.

    • Delivery drives have to be able to go to the door. If op is wheelchair or bed bound this is probably not an option

    • my understanding is there is a vehicle but yes good point on getting to the door.
I do not agree with not having a vehicle on AISH. A few people I know are on disability and have a basic vehicle. It depends on a lot of things.

Pizza 73, skip the dishes… Problem with these is that you absolutely need a land line, and desk top computer…. There is a place in Edmonton that if someone works one day they get a free desktop computer. Landline may be an issue.

  16. I love working from home. I do call centre customer service work and it’s a lot of fun. Pizza 73 would be a good place to start.

What company do you work for? (If you don’t mind sharing).

I’ve been looking for something like that, and Pizza 73 didn’t work.

    • Kiki Elbi I do call centre work for an office supply company. Unfortunately they are not hiring any new people. I used to work at the call centre and when it closed they offered us work from home positions
