Missing Animals – Lost Cat – Killarney Area

Our beloved Ben didn’t come home last night (Dec 9th), we have been wandering the streets for hours trying to find him.

If you’re in the Killarney area, please please please check your garages. We are lost without him 🙁
He is a very large, domestic short haired cat, solid grey colour, green eyes with a red dot under his right pupil.

If you see him or have found him, please comment. He is a very friendly cat, answers to Ben, doesn’t mind being picked up.

Thank you

Hope you find him, I lost my kitty a few years ago too. Someone had been taking care of him for about 4 months, and then one day out of the blue we got a call from the pound that he had been brought in (microchipped). So glad that I have my baby back. Don’t give up yet =]

If you love your cat so much why do you let it wander the dangerous Edmonton streets? Just this morning someone saw a cat get hit and killed by a car- she moved it off the road and called 311 to pick it up, and posted about it in a lost pets group so maybe the owner may be reunited.

    • Sometimes you don’t have a choice once and indoor cat gets out its hard to keep them back indoors. They have instincts to hunt they are curious animals most won’t wonder far from home but they do go missing from time to time so it’s not about letting your cat roam the streets… My cat was an indoor cat he got out and ran away from me while I chased him I had to go to work.. He stayed outside came home three weeks later now he disappears every once in a while but he comes back.

    • I agree…my cat got out once and I was devastated…luckily he didn’t go far.
Indoor cats have been proven to live longer.

You can always put a cat on a harness to walk it so it gets to go outdoors. Yes most dont like it but once they realize its the only way they are allowed outdoors they will start to tolerate it cause they have no choice. Ive had outdoor cats (about 15yrs ago) and indoor cats and they are way better off as indoor cats who are only allowed to go out for walks on a harness. Live longer, better, less pain (no fights or running from ppl, cars or other animals). An outdoor cat can be converted to an indoor cat if u spay or neuter so they wont have so many urges and if u walk them.

    • I think it’s perfectly ok to let your cats outdoors. They are risks involved yes but it’s there natural habitat. In fact keeping them locked up seems a bit in humane.

  16. I will gladly share and pray Ben comes home to your family. But please don’t let him roam outside alone again….

  17. if you actually cared about your cat at all you wouldn’t have let it outside in the city to get lost & hit by traffic. I feel horrible for the cat but not really you
