MISSING CAT

My cat Jezebel has been missing since Sunday June 25, between 1AM and 10AM in Terrace Heights. She goes outside everyday but she didn’t come back to eat like she usually does.

She is very small and has long black fur with patches of orange, and green eyes. We love her and we are so worried about her.

If you have seen her please call (780) 236 0112 or email lkgano@gmail.com.

  1. Put her litter box outside.

  2. Put the littler box outside the smell helps them find their way home. Also check the humaine society and make sure if she’s chipped or tattooed that the contact information is current. Good luck hope you find your baby. I would probably put posters up around you area as well.

    • That’s why my cats have always been indoor cats. Never have to worry

    • I love cat’s very much but I believe it’s cruel to have them locked up inside ALL the time they deserve their freedom

      [0]
    • They also deserve to be safe. There are options to let them out without letting them stray.

      Not to mention city bylaws….

    • Wayne McGregor I think the neighbours also deserve not having their flowerbeds full of cat poops deposited by those cats that ‘deserve their freedom’…especially if these same neighbours keep THEIR cats inside

    • Wayne McGregor my cats have freedom outside on the enclosed balcony and love it. They are happy and doing just fine . Most importantly they are safe.

    • Their freedom? Are they aware that not all cars will stop for them if they cross the street? Are they aware that coyotes view them as a yummie snack? Are they aware the neighbours don’t want them doing their business in their gardens. If you choose to have a cat become a family member, then don’t let them roam free!

    • I have to let my cat out, he attacks me if I don’t…. the door flies open so fast….. just go!….. he’s a much better cat letting him out than keeping him inside

That’s what leashes are for Natalie.

It is irresponsible to let your cats roam. Not to mention rude.
Too many cats hit by cars, and eaten by coyotes.
I’m also highly allergic and shouldn’t have to worry about the neighbours cat lounging on my outdoor furniture and shitting in my dog be.

OP, I hope you find your cat safe, but please keep it inside or on a leash when you get it back.

    • Natalie A Chesser and you don’t have to clean the kitty litter, right? 🙁

    • I have tried to keep my cat inside. he howls and howls. i dont have the area in which to tie him up as i would be forever untiring him. lol.

    • I believe it to be cruel to keep a cat inside who desperately wants out. They’re natural hunters, climbers etc how can they even be a cat indoors? My cat loves it. If I didn’t let him out he’d eat me. Btw cats can roam free there is no bylaw for cats

    • FYI I had my cat on a leash outside but As soon as someone opened the door he ran out and that was it…. he wanted out and there was nothing I could do about it

  10. Shared! Good luck. Might want to consider keeping him indoors though. Too many dangers to have an outdoor kitty these days.

  11. You have to let them in before 12, preferably 11.The coyotes come out of the ravine when the sounds of traffic lower.I thought this was a joke, until I saw a coyote with my own eyes.It chased a cat that climbed a tree, right on 74 street, last year.

Check with the city pound. Lots of people are trapping cats now so yours may be in jail waiting for you. I’m no expert but I really don’t think cats get lost and can’t find their way home.

  16. Pretty – be sure to check the Animal Care & Control Centre – Edmonton as legally if they find a cat they are considered the owners of the cat after 72 hours if an owner has not claimed it. A neighbor may have been tired of her being in their yard and taken her to the ACC.

Walk down your lane and call her as she might have inadvertently been closed in a garden shed or garage.

Thanks to everyone who shared and gave helpful comments. I have put the litterbox outside and I am checking with all the shelters twice a day. I’m also checking kijiji adds and websites specifically for lost pets. I’ve walked all over the neighborhood putting posters in everyone’s mailboxes and I have no luck so far. I don’t want to give up yet.
