My me too story

With all these me too stories , I want to tell my story. .
In 2006, thru Kijiji I answered an add for a painter assistant. I worked 15 hours that day, I felt like a champ, was so proud of working such a long shift, also to I was excited to be trying a new skill, being a painter wasn’t a skill I had before.

The boss of the crew, offered to take back us 5 employees to his place to clean up , have a bite to eat, and if need be , a place was available to stay the night. I’ll never forget that house, it was in Ellerslie , a huge new built house. The boss was from Quebec, had a wife and kids. Nothing about him screamed run.

So, the crew all freshen up , and when I got done in the bathroom, the crew were gone. Leaving me with the boss. I remember that drink of pop he got me. I remember the big screen tv in the bedroom upstairs. But that’s all I remembered. He raped and drugged me for a week . And I continued to work for him , as a painters assitant while being out of it. I remember coming to for a breif moment , I remember feeling tired and groggy. But I don’t remember much else. Oh and he drove a white truck.

The day I came to,I wokeup at home , in my bed. I was confused on the day. I left on a Monday , but here it was Monday afternoon, a week latter. I was scared to go to the cops , to tell anyone. So I swept it under the rug. I never ever brought it up again. I was scared , he was a well known man , painting for a major company who was building the new builds on 17th St .

I never did say anything , but now I am.

  1. It’s never too late to go to the cops!!! Please, call this guy out and maybe stop it if he is still doing the same. Time for women to stand up, and to say Never Again. My heart hurts for you that you ever had to go through this, but until people stand up and say no more, it will continue from these stains on society.

By going to the police you can save someone else from the trauma of what this guy did. Get this scumbag in jail

  4. Report it you could be the voice for somebody else. Who knows who else he has done this to and what he has cost them. I’m sure it cost you a lot too. Do something to help save them.

  5. Okay, I literally had tears reading this. I couldn’t imagine how awful & helpless you felt. But now you’re speaking out, and even though it’s anonymous, you’re half way there. You got this! When you feel ready, please tell the police. You never know how many others he has done this to, and how many others you can potentially save. You can do this!!!

Please report him to the police. You don’t know how many other girls he’s taken advantage if this way who might be too scared to come forward too.

If one of the previous women would of come forward and reported him, it would have prevented this incident. I doubt you were the first or last. It’s not too late, report the bastard.

  8. Unlike the United States there is no Statute of Limitations on sexual assault. Report it now.

  10. Go to the cops, if he had you drugged up for a week, you are not the first, nor the last. He has had experience doing this thing

Um 2006? A horrible rape and kidnapping and you blew it off??? You didn’t have a metoo moment, you had a bender. Get your drama and attention somewhere else.

You have found the courage to tell your story. Please remember, you are stronger than you know. Find just a little more strength to take another step and find support for yourself. The Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton would be a great place to start. Ultimately, taking this to the police would be the best, but … take care of yourself and do that when you are ready. Please reach out and get counselling. You got this.

  20. So did you file a police report? I’m confused.
An anonymous internet post is still doing nothing.
You did nothing wrong and have absolutely no reason to feel ashamed.
    Have your day in court!!!
Yes, it’s terrifying but this is obviously a disgusting individual who needs to be documented.

It allows her to open up about what happened to her, without someone like that Sd jackass above judging her. No one knows who she is, so she can go about her normal activities without anyone looking at her and judging her.

Once it becomes easier to tell the story anonymously, she Wil eventually build up the courage and fortitude to do it publicly.

Because no one has ever been drugged and out of it and not known what they were doing right?

  22. Carolanne Taylor if its continuously taken without your knowledge. If she is working onsite it would be so easy for someone to hand a person who is out of it another drink with more drugs in it. Especially if the person is a predator who has done it before.
