“Pick me up” for Edmonton Fire Rescue
Today my kids made cards for our local fire fighters, which happens to be Fire Station #10. They were so proud and so nervous when we walked up to ring the doorbell. We were greeted by real heroes. Not just one, but a few of them!
They were so gentle, kind, and full love smiles. They invited my kids and I in and toured us around the fire hall. It was amazing. I was excited and my kids were pumped.
They got to sit in the fire trucks, check out the gear, and even hold the fire hose. I was so awkward, I kept making dumb comments in attempt to make conversation, but they laughed with me. We had gone in hopes to do something nice for them, but it ended up being the other way around. Thank you sooo much Edmonton Fire Rescue for all that you do, and all fire fighters who work tiressly to keep us safe.
To the fireman who was our main man, I’m sorry I didn’t hear quite right, whether it was Curt, Kirk, or maybe Curtis, I hope I see you again someday, and I don’t make a goon of myself. We really appreciated what you did for us today.
