Playground Zones

To the white SUV that was flashing their brights at me on January 21, 2018 at about 6:12pm going westbound on 132 Ave just before 113 Street.

In case you missed the memo there are now playground zones from 7am-9pm every day where the speed limit is 30. So don’t flash Our brights at me because you think I am going too slow. You might be okay with speeding, but I’m not so instead of being a jerk, just pass me.

Enjoy your ticket and stop being sick.

Not all school zones have been upgraded to playground zones yet. However, there have been Playground Zone signs placed where there are no school zones

Aren’t playground zones speed specific until dusk, regardless of the posted time?

You can get a ticket for flashing brights at someone

Isn’t that a school zone there? Not a playground zone?

  5. I have had numerous people pass me in playground zones because they think I am going too slow. All playground zones are 7:30-9:00 pm every day.

    • I was told by a peace officer whenever the sun is out lol

Had a taxi pass me on a residential road in a playground zone. Emailed his unit number and heard nothing back. Public safety is apparently not a concern. It’s a densely populated high pedestrian traffic area and it is around a curve.

    • Agreed shield when I was younger I’d called in the car number of a officer that slid sideways fishtailing through a 4 way stop on purpose and didn’t hear back so I called again and they didn’t even write it down…

  6. Nice post.
People always forget the catholic schools are out an easy past noon.
Public schools are out by 2:10 high schools are usually out at 3:30.

There’s a reason they post sundown rules.

  7. 9 pM is a little silly in Edmuin the winter.
