Provincial Court Judges
I recently have finished (for now), a long road through family court. With sparing details, my only focus was my four children’s best interest. I never wanted their father out of their lives, I think children should have both parents in the picture. Our situation was different and sad, though.
While we sat in front of several judges over the last two years, two have really stood out.
Justice Julie Lloyd and Justice G.B.N. Ho (I dont know his first name). These two judges I have really respect for. They listened, they were respectful, and could decipher fact from bullsh*t. You could tell they did they homework prior to trials or appearances, and really show genuine integrity, and concern for the children’s lives that they are making decisions upon.
We appeared before a couple other judges and it felt like our case (and others) were just “numbers”. Or they have a preconcieved notion.
I am thankful for the job that Judge Julie Lloyd and Judge G.B.N. Ho do. And thank them for the respect they show people in the court room. Not just ours.
