Raven Rescued by City Workers

A BIG shoutout to the City of Edmonton workers at Callingwood, (especially Rachelle who climbed the tree) and Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton for efforts and success in rescuing a raven that was tangled in kite string that was in a tree.

It was a great effort by many people to rescue the raven.

    • I have brought 3 birds there. 2 were able to heal and be released. They let us come back to pick them up to release them ourselves. Great experience for my children.

    • aww good for you! And for your kids! my Stepson tries to save insects so I don’t doubt what a great experience it would be.
I have only brought in one- a very wee crow (still had blue eyes). They were not able to save his life, but they did save him from a slow death and/or from being eaten by a predator. I protected that bird for days- I’m sure my neighbours thought I was insane. That’s when I found out about the WRSE and the great work they do
