Thank you Shoutout Edmonton

I just want to say thank you for this forum … I made a post awhile ago looking for my bio dad…. always thought of him and looked for him off and on but was neve successful… well then I came across this page and thought what the heck I’ll give it a try. I posted all the details that I knew and prayed and crossed my fingers.

Well low and behold someone contacted me all the way from England. Sadly she informed that he passed away just a couple months before I made the post. I will forever regret not being able to meet him, but I also believe the universe works in strange ways so maybe I wasn’t supposed to meet him in this world but the next, who knows…

I did get a memento that reaffirmed he was my dad and that he thought of me and carried me with him in his heart… it was a Midas muffler match book… that may seem silly to you all, but to me it meant the world as that is where he met my mother and that is were I was conceived so it meant the world for him to have carried it all these years. I also got to know him thru his friends and by the sounds of it I am exactly like him, I do a lot of the same things as him and have the same laugh etc… I brought some of his friends to tears because of the similarities and how I look so much like him.

So I just want to say thank you so much Edmonton (my home town) hopefully you will bring me awesome luck next June when my son turns 18 and I start to look for him

  2. First and foremost, I’m glad that our community was able to help you reach out to the people who were able to inform you about your brother. It’s better to know, than to not know, I could only imagine. My condolences go out to you for having to find that out though. I want to thank you for taking the time to send in this message to inform our readers about what happened afterwards. This community honestly never seizes to amaze me. Day in and day out. I’ve been spending a lot more time on making Shoutout Edmonton better lately because I am loving the types of posts that have been coming in. I wish you the utmost of luck with finding your son.
