Thank you all so much

I was really affected by people using #MeToo but for various reasons I didn’t feel comfortable using it myself.

A recent outpouring of love and compassion for my abuser has sent me into a downward spiral (that I’m seeing a trauma informed therapist for) and I’m just so thankful for everyone who shared the hashtag because it’s reminding me right now that I’m not alone. <3

Oh sweetheart, you are truly not alone. I wish I could hug you right now. You are a strong woman. We are all stronger than our abusers. ♥️♥️♥️

  2. We can stop it by talking about it.

    • Some people aren’t comfortable with sharing those type of things with literally everyone they know. Their children, parents, coworkers, acquaintances. Kudos to those who want to though.

    • Telling victims who and what they have to be is despicable.

    • I was trying to say as a collective if we share what has been done to us we can change what happens to others. It took me years to say something and when I finally did. I was told not to tell anyone. I lost the family I grew up with because I spoke up. The shadows are a lonely, scary place to be. But for us that have made it out we need to stop this. We need to speak up.
