‘We would hate to close’: Edmonton addictions centre struggling with $400K in repairs

This is an amazing establishment I called home for a year they helped save my life and countless others. with its future in jeopardy and extensive repairs required the thought of this service no longer being available to those who need it is greatly concerning. I can only ask that those who can help please do so in any way you can.

I have been in contact with Rebecca and the staff, there is a plan to create an alumni support group to not only help each other and the current residence but also help show the public that the program works. To my brothers from the house if you wish to be involved please PM me and i can forward you details, or contact the house directly… 780-474-8945

Ever reminding me that I can only keep what I have if I give freely, what was so freely given to me…. Experience, Strength and Hope…

Let us stand together to ensure these doors can remain open. Without help it is too much for us…

Our city cannot afford to lose this resource. I see people rant on this page about the homeless, the addicted, the safe places to shoot up. This is an opportunity for all you Facebook warriors to put your money where your mouth is. There are already too few places for people to get help, let’s not lose this one! Even $20.00 will help, they don’t even have $5,000 yet!

  3. I’m sorry but have they asked the city for help surely to gosh there is some part of the government that can help i know this program is so very important and I understand how many count in this but it’s pretty sad when finding the money for this falls upon the clients asking for help what has or what have the owners of this place done to try and secure these monies surely to gosh someone can help this would be so sad to see this program close down

This should be subsidized by the City of Edmonton. Or ask for provincial or federal assistance.

  7. I’m sure some of the guys that have gone through the program are tradesmen, if they donated their time to help with repairs, that would cut the cost.

  8. The governments are too busy giving taxpayers money to people who were butthurt hundreds of years ago. Time for them to get back to the here and now, and put money into something that actually is appreciated, like drug rehab/addictions centres.

  9. Governments aren’t making any money on this.
