Where’s the Outrage

On Easter Sunday Sri Lanka was attacked. 3 churches were bombed and death toll is sitting at 300 lives lost. What shocks me is that no one is talking about it. When the bombing of the mosque in Christchurch, NZ happened everyone was up in arms, they showed solidarity by wearing scarfs on their head.

When Notre Dame caught on fire everyone was devastated and billionaires vowed to donate to rebuild…. But an attack on Christians on the most holiest day, nothing???!!! You see the pattern, it’s a 3rd world country so who cares, right? If this had happened in Europe or US, Canada…holy f&ck, all hell would have broke lose…. bloody hypocrites!!!

It’s really disappointing that shoutout Edmonton would amplify this bullshit.

  2. agreed They should have stayed put. They’ve ruined such a beautiful land.

  3. It’s fucking brutally sad. This is a real tragedy….unlike the burning of Notre dame… That was an empty historical building… not the lives of 300 + families devastated and forever changed.

  4. Because media is controlled! It’s a sick joke

  5. Have you met albertans? Makes me ashamed to say I lived there. The most heartless people I’ve ever encountered

  6. That’s B’S. My news feed is filled with articles about Sri Lanka.

“Canada is sure becoming the true melting pot (dumping ground) for the world.” As said by Paul Stanford, I couldn’t agree more, this all started 400 plus years ago, the scourge of Europe landed on these shores and now pretend that they did nothing wrong and demonise brown and black people that come here today.

This is awful .. should have been on the news but find out on FACEBOOK how sad is that …

  9. It’s been on the news channels almost day and night since it happened, ppl have been caring and getting together in Sri Lanka in honour of those affected. what is it that you would like us to do?

  10. There are people that have been talking and posting about it. There was a vigil held at the legislature. I do agree the media isn’t paying it the same attention and that’s sad. But there are lots of caring people out there.

  11. Seriously? Just stop with the fake outrage. It’s literally ALL over the news FFS.

  12. the “easter worshipers” don’t matter; Christians are being slaughters all over the world; there is a one sided war going on.

  13. Lyn Hessels Lyn Hessels says:

No one is talking? Do you live under a rock? It has been on every newscast I have seen – every day, there have been vigils all over the world, they have shown the pope condemning it and had talk shows discussing it. Not to mention all the social media about it.

  17. I dont get where you say people arent talking about it? Everyone I know has discussed it, how devastating it is. Christian or not.

  18. Ummmm – like everybody is talking about it. Maybe you need better friends if nobody on your page is talking about it.

  19. Paul Stanford some arent trying to appear as anything, some are referred to as rabbits. Seeing how deep the rabbithole is…

It happens in Europe every day, but you are right its swept under the rug cause it goes against the “islam is peaceful” narrative

  24. Erin Johnson Erin Johnson says:

I heard about it, both on my Facebook wall and at church.

  25. Personally I’m just hoping we all evolve past the belief in magical beings so we would stop fighting about who’s is better.

  26. Candice Ball Candice Ball says:

    Sadly this is sooo true.

  27. Why would outrage help??

  28. Sadly until something horrific happens in Canada we don’t see the magnitude.. “ not in my yard “ I truly believe this. My ex worked at Canada place I was aware of the huge amount of bomb threats daily. I pray that it so don’t happen. Innocent people should not be afraid to live their lives

  29. Sue Topps Sue Topps says:

You may need to get off Facebook and explore the world a little, I’ve seen many conversations and many posts, heard people talk about, been part of conversations.

  36. It did happen in the states. Three black churches in the deep south. No one gave a damn then either.

  37. We have churches here being vandalized and nothing is being said. It is happening here. Now. And no one picks up their heads from their phones long enough to take notice.

  38. I agree that people are not as quick to show sympathy when it’s not a nation they are familiar with…

I try to do my part in educating people and making them aware of current events.

  41. Hugh Hawes Hugh Hawes says:

Because it’s a third world nation where this kind of thing isn’t out of the ordinary. It’s not a conspiracy, the media will always focus on important news in more developed nations.

  42. Josh Bauer Josh Bauer says:

Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and globalization is attempting to erase Christianity. Over 900 churches have been vandalized in France this past year, over 200 Christian genocides in Africa and it doesn’t get mainstream attention. Whether you believe in religion or not your moral compass should tell you that’s wrong.
